This IS for you if:

You are keen on eating in a community of people who want to eat together, talk about ways to cook food, who want to chat about food, and who want to honour their individual relationship to food. If you are someone who gets fired up by talking about how to eat food for vitality, or for the love of the the way that the food that you eat relates to many parts of your life.

THIS WORKSHOP INCLUDES:

There are four sections of the workshop - the eating bit, the cooking bit ( the venue won’t permit cooking demonstrations so we will be creative with what we do here ), the group sharing bit, and the reflections bit. All the bits are there to ensure that in totality you have what you need to experience food with reverence, not just fuel, though fuel’s good too 🤩.

What to bring:

You can bring a yoga mat to sit down on.

Please bring a journal to write on, and a pencil and eraser if needed.

Please bring a cup for the pouring of the cacao into.

You will not need water for the duration of the workshop, though please hydrate yourself before or after the workshop.

A couple of things to note:

There are only 15 spots available so we can maintain a personal group.

The accessible parking bays are located on Beaufort St, adjacent to the Clear Mind Studio.

Please bring an empty stomach with you so you have not eaten for 3 hours prior to the start time. This small fast will support the effects of the cacao concoction as it enters an empty digestive system).

Please arrive 15 minutes early as I’m aiming to start promptly at 12:00 p.m to honour every person’s schedule.

What FOOD IS SUPPLIED

The workshop includes food bought from shops that sell certified organic produce sourced from Australian farmers AND the certified organic ceremonial grade cacao sourced from South America. Please let me know when you DON’T eat vegetables, fruits, honey, cacao, meat, seafood and dairy so that I can match your preferences/food tolerances to what is on your plate.

Certified organic food is food that has been certified by certifiers such as the ACO (Australian Certified Organic ). The certifiers ensure that the food that is sold has farming practices that meet the code of standards for certified organic food. This means that the soil is tested, and the crop is tested to ensure that the product remains herbicide, fungicide and pesticide free. This and many more rules are enforced to meet the standards so you know the farmers are paying to ensure that the product you are getting has been verified using a trusted organisation.

Ceremonial-grade cacao is an ancient medicine discovered in 1500 B.C. by the Olmecs of Mesoamerica and has been used by the Aztecs and Mayans for ritualistic and spiritual purposes. It is used to open your heart space and bring authenticity to yourself, others, and the world around you. The ancient "hot chocolate" concoction will be made with three ingredients; ceremonial-grade cacao, nut milk and honey.
